The Living Word Internship Program is designed to to provide exposure, experience and education necessary to build a foundation for your calling.
The program is open to young adults ages 18-30.
 
You will be a part of and help build a community to impact the the world. You will be poured into by our pastors and ministry leaders through mentorship and common down-times. You will have exposure to different areas of ministry life and be helped to develop a consistent personal devotional life.  You will be helped to discover your gifings and to develop them.  
 
We offer a stipend to offset the living expenses such as gas, food, etc.  Free housing will be arranged for you, if you live outside the Silver Spring, MD area. School credit is available for those interested. We will work with your school to help you meet the requirements.

Summary:
Manages the classroom and performs tasks as a Lead Teacher; supervises students and provides direct care and education to them.

Job Qualifications/Specifications:
Meet MSDE/OCC regulations for Senior staff:
High school diploma, 90 Hours Certification, 1 year experience, 19 years old minimum, 9 hours of communicating with staff, parents and the public, 3 hours ADA compliance, continued training of 12 clock hours per year, and pass a background check and medical clearance.

Core Competencies:
The ability to manage classroom tasks, maintain a safe and positive learning environment, communicate with parents, address issues, demonstrate strong teamwork, and maintain the standard of Christian conduct and leadership.

16 years old minimum
Assist with the supervision of children. Maintain a safe and positive learning environment.

***CPR and First Aid, Basic Health and Safety, and Medication Administration certification training are available if not current.
