CHURCH FACILITY USE POLICY

1. Purpose

The church facilities are dedicated to the glory of God and the church's ministry. All use must align with the church's mission, values, and schedule while exercising good stewardship of the human and capital resources entrusted to us.

2. Priority of Use

Use of the facilities is granted in the following order:
1. Official church worship services and ministries
2. Church-sponsored partner events
3. Active members who have been active in giving and attendance in the last 12 months. This will only be accepted for review within a 60-day window due to the process of scheduling availability for church events and unforeseen occasions such as funerals of members.
4. Individuals who were an active part of the church in the past 3 years can request space, and approval will be decided on a case-by-case basis. As above, the request will be reviewed within 60-day window.

All uses are subject to approval and calendar availability.

3. Approval Authority

All requests for facility use must be submitted through the designated church office and are approved by the Board of Trustees designated church administrator or the administrator's designee.

The church reserves the right to approve or decline any request based on:
• Ministry alignment
• Scheduling conflicts
• Staffing and safety requirements
• Facility care and stewardship considerations

4. Donation / Facility Use Contribution

Because the facilities are ministry resources and not commercial rental property, a required donation will be established to help offset:
• Utilities
• Custodial services
• Safety
• Equipment use
• Normal wear and tear

There will also be appropriate deposits for the use of the facilities.

The current donation schedule will be maintained and reviewed by the Board or its designee.

5. Fees for Additional Services

Additional costs may apply when required, including:
• Sound/technical personnel
• Media support
• Setup and breakdown
• Special cleaning
• Safety personnel

6. Scheduling and Time Limits

All events must:
• Begin and end at the approved times
• Include setup and cleanup within the reserved time
• Leave the facility in the condition in which it was received

The building is available for personal events such as birthdays and anniversaries on a limited schedule due to staff and church-sponsored activities. It is available for personal events once a month, from September to November and from January to May. The personal event guidelines do not apply to weddings and funerals of active members.

7. Conduct and Ministry Alignment

All activities held on church property must:
• Be consistent with the church’s statement of faith, mission, and moral convictions, including no alcohol.
• Reflect a Christ-honoring environment
• Comply with all safety and child-protection policies

The church may terminate an event that violates these standards.

8. Damage and Liability

The individual or group using the facility is responsible for:
• Any damage beyond normal wear
• Required insurance when applicable
• Adherence to all safety guidelines
